ESPN's Ryan Clark gave huge props to Jimmy Garoppolo, saying the quarterback was a big reason why the San Francisco 49ers clinched a playoff berth with a thrilling 27-24 overtime road win against the Los Angeles Rams. Garoppolo was playing hurt but still delivered a gutsy performance in what might have been his last regular-season outing with the 49ers.

Get Up co-host Dan Orlovsky is already looking toward the 49ers' first playoff opponent, the Dallas Cowboys, and feels the NFC East champions should be worried about facing a red-hot San Francisco squad.

"It's a bad matchup for the Dallas Cowboys," Orlovsky declared to Clark and Mike Greenberg. "It's a bad matchup for anybody in the NFC. I think it's mostly a bad matchup for the Cowboys because the Cowboys' strength is their pass rush. Well, that run game is going to minimize that a little bit.

"A brilliant coach in Kyle Shanahan is going to do everything he can to try to minimize the impact of No. 11, [LB] Micah Parsons. How many different things can he get him to look at to play a little slower? The screen game. Maybe you try to get him running sideline to sideline and the counter-action.

"I also think he's really good at finding weaknesses of a defense, people-wise, and attacking those guys. [CB] Anthony Brown has been attacked on that coverage, [No.] 30, for a long time. So, I just think it's a really bad matchup for the Dallas Cowboys. Again, I think it's a bad matchup for everybody in the NFC."

Analyst Dane Brugler recently revealed his seven-round mock draft for The Athletic, forecasting all 257 selections in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, set to kick off next week. "Piecing together a mock like this is time consuming, but I enjoy the exercise, because it allows me to focus on each team's needs, organizational trends and prospect-team pairings that make sense based on '30' visits, league buzz and overall interest," Brugler wrote. Most expect the 49ers to address the trenches early in the draft, and Brugler has the team doing that. It's just not on the offensive side of the football. In fact, Brugler doesn't have San Francisco

The San Francisco 49ers first selection in next week's draft comes at No. 31 overall. However, NFL Media analyst Chad Reuter doesn't have the Bay Area team remaining at that spot in the first round. In his seven-round mock draft, he envisions the 49ers striking a deal with the Green Bay Packers to move up six spots to No. 25 overall, where they select former Alabama cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry. Reuter notes, "Whether it's for a cornerback like McKinstry, an offensive lineman or a receiver, the 49ers could very well give up a mid-round pick to acquire one of the few missing pieces on an otherwise potent roster." The rest of the mock draft reveals at least part of the

Trevor Sikkema of Pro Football Focus unveiled a seven-round mock draft for the San Francisco 49ers, addressing several key needs for the team in the 10-pick projection. Interestingly, the mock draft sees the team adding two legacy players. But before delving into that, let's examine the first three selections. Sikkema has the 49ers shoring up their offensive line at pick No. 31 with the selection of former Arizona offensive tackle Jordan Morgan. Morgan allowed 14 pressures and two sacks in his 477 pass-blocking snaps at left tackle in 2023. He earned an impressive pass-blocking grade of 87.3 and an overall grade of

The 2024 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, and ESPN's Jordan Reid released a behemoth of a mock draft, projecting all 257 selections across all seven rounds. The ESPN analyst has the Washington Commanders leaping in front of the San Francisco 49ers in the first round to select one of the top offensive tackle prospects, leaving John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan's squad to take a different approach.
