The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 12 contest against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Running back Elijah Mitchell returned to practice after undergoing surgery last week to repair a finger fracture. He was limited, and practiced in a blue no-contact jersey with his finger wrapped. Mitchell was inactive during Sunday's win against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Two players, running back JaMycal Hasty and defensive tackle Maurice Hurst, did not practice. The 49ers gave tackle Trent Williams and center Alex Mack a veteran day off.

Two defenders, defensive end Dee Ford and linebacker Dre Greenlaw, are expected to be activated from injured reserve this week, and could play on Sunday.
