The San Francisco 49ers announced today that the team has signed wide receiver Bennie Fowler to a one-year deal and waived wide receiver Marqise Lee.
San Francisco signed Lee (6-0, 196) on Monday, May 17, after the veteran receiver tried out for the team during its three-day rookie minicamp last weekend. NFL reporter Aaron Wilson later shared that Lee's contract was terminated with an injury waiver designation.
