The San Francisco 49ers are among the teams that have expressed some interest in free-agent linebacker Neville Hewitt, per Manish Mehta, formerly of the NY Daily News. The other teams reportedly "in the mix" are the Philadelphia Eagles, Cincinnati Bengals, and Green Bay Packers.

Hewitt led the Jets with 134 tackles in 16 starts last season.
The Miami Dolphins signed Hewitt as an undrafted free agent out of Marshall in 2015. He registered a career-high 134 tackles, six tackles for a loss, four quarterback hits, two sacks, four passes defensed, and a forced fumble through 16 games with the Jets in 2020, per Pro Football Reference.
Hewitt, 27, has recorded 352 tackles, 20 tackles for a loss, 18 quarterback hits, 7.5 sacks, 13 passes defensed, three interceptions, and a forced fumble through his six NFL seasons.
