Add the Los Angeles Chargers to the list of teams that would like to speak with San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh for their head-coaching vacancy. The AFC team has requested to interview Saleh, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Chargers requested permission to interview 49ers' DC Robert Saleh, who interviewed last night with the Falcons, per source.
That brings the total number of known interested teams to four. The Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions, and Jacksonville Jaguars are also interested in Saleh's services.
The Falcons conducted their virtual interview with Saleh on Monday. The defensive coordinator will speak with the Lions on Thursday. On Monday, 49ers general manager John Lynch informed reporters that the Jaguars also requested to interview Saleh.
The Chargers relieved their head coach, Anthony Lynn, of his duties on Monday following the team's 7-9 finish.
