The San Francisco 49ers will wear their all-white throwbacks when they host the Los Angeles Rams at Levi's Stadium on Sunday night. Kicker Robbie Gould revealed the news with the following tweet.

The 49ers last wore the uniforms during a Week 17 road matchup against the Seattle Seahawks last season. San Francisco won the game 26-21 in dramatic fashion. Before that, the 49ers wore the throwbacks during a 51-13 Week 8 rout of the Carolina Panthers.

The uniforms are replicas of those worn by the last 49ers team to win a Super Bowl — the 1994 squad that beat the San Diego Chargers in Super Bowl XXIX. Those uniforms were part of the league's 75th anniversary and were a throwback themselves to the team's jerseys during the 1955 season.

Sunday's primetime matchup will be the first time this season that San Francisco has donned the fan-favorite throwbacks. The team introduced the alternate uniforms in 2018 during that offseason's State of the Franchise event.
