49ers waive rookie Jauan Jennings, announce other moves in roster cut-down

Most of the San Francisco 49ers' most recent draft class made it through the 53-player roster cut-down. The lone casualty was the team's seventh-round selection out of Tennessee — wide receiver Jauan Jennings. Although, the rookie could land on the practice squad, should he clear waivers.

Below is a list of the team's roster moves as it worked to reach the 53-player limit.

The 49ers also announced that they have waived/injured OL Ross Reynolds, activated WR Deebo Samuel from the Active/Non-Football Injury List, and placed DL Ronald Blair, C Weston Richburg, and DL Jullian Taylor on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform List.

The San Francisco 49ers still have three unsigned draft picks. Among them is the No. 3 overall pick — quarterback Trey Lance. The others are third-round picks Trey Sermon and Ambry Thomas. With players scheduled to report to training camp in a couple of weeks, should fans be concerned that the 49ers' quarterback of the future remains unsigned? Probably not. Lance's contract terms have been predetermined thanks to the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement.
