Former San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde is back in the NFC West. He has reportedly signed a one-year deal with the division-rival Seattle Seahawks, according to ESPN.
Former Texans' RB Carlos Hyde reached agreement with the Seattle Seahawks, per source.
Hyde was with the 49ers during head coach Kyle Shanahan's first season with the team in 2017. San Francisco opted not to re-sign the running back, who finished the season with 940 rushing yards, a career-high 350 receiving yards, and a career-high eight rushing touchdowns.
Hyde played with two teams in 2018, first signing with the Cleveland Browns before being traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The running back signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019 before being traded to the Houston Texans just before the start of the regular season.
Hyde rushed for a career-high 1,070 yards and six touchdowns on 245 carries through 16 games with the Texans last season. It was his first season rushing for over 1,000 yards.
San Francisco made Hyde a second-round draft pick out of Ohio State in 2014. He spent his first four NFL seasons with the 49ers.
