Updated jersey numbers: Bruce, Johnson, more

Texas9er has pointed out that jersey numbers have been chosen by Isaac Bruce and Bryant Johnson. Bruce will be wearing #88 while Johnson will be wearing #82. Good news to anyone who ever bought an Eric Johnson jersey. You jersey is back in fashion.

A few players have also changed their numbers. Thomas Clayton has gone from 35 to 33. Joe Cohen has gone from 67 to 76. Dominique Zeigler has gone from 15 to 17.

On Tuesday, NFL insider Ian Rapport, one of the NFL's most plugged-in reporters, made headlines declaring that, given the situation with the San Francisco 49ers, Sam Darnold would be the team's most likely Week 1 starting quarterback. "We do not know what Trey Lance is going to be if he continues the trajectory that he's been on," Ian Rapoport said on NFL Network. "And I think, certainly, it seems Sam Darnold will more likely than not be the starter going into the season, but there is an opportunity for someone to step in there and start [the] first couple of games of the regular season for the 49ers."
