The San Francisco 49ers have made it very clear that they are shopping Marquise Goodwin. Josina Anderson of ESPN reported today that general manager John Lynch told her the team is trying to find a good home for the veteran receiver and could deal him today.

Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports that the 49ers have given Goodwin and his representatives permission to speak with interested teams to negotiate a new contract. That could make it easier for San Francisco to trade Goodwin.

Goodwin signed a three-year extension in 2018 and is scheduled to count $11.4 million against the team's salary cap over the next two seasons, according to Spotrac.

Goodwin registered just 12 receptions for 186 yards with a touchdown through nine games and six starts with the 49ers last season before landing on injured reserve on December 10, 2019.
