Faneca has offers from 49ers, Jets, and Rams

Feb 29, 2008 at 11:10 AM--

Yahoo! Sports reports that Pittsburgh Steelers guard Alan Faneca will not be visiting with any teams and will simply decide between several offers that he has received.

The New York Jets, St. Louis Rams and San Francisco 49ers are reportedly in the mix, and Faneca could have a deal signed by Sunday.

He is expected to ink a deal that ranges between four and five years at $32-$40 million.

Update: Matt Maiocco of the Press Democrat does not seem to feel that the 49ers' offer will be seriously considered. He reports that the word is that Faneca is going to the Jets for $20 million guaranteed.
