Jimmy Garoppolo nominated for FedEx Air Player of the Week after 49ers’ win over Saints

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has been nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Week award following the team's 48-46 Week 14 victory over the New Orleans Saints.

Garoppolo finished the game having completed 26-of-35 pass attempts (74.3 percent) for 349 yards with four touchdowns, an interception, and a passer rating of 131.7.

The other award nominees are quarterbacks Ryan Tannehill of the Tennessee Titans and Philip Rivers of the Los Angeles Chargers.

Garoppolo was last nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Week award following his Week 11 performance against the Arizona Cardinals and last won the award in 2017 following a win over the Titans. This is Garoppolo's fourth nomination of the season, tying him with Patrick Mahomes for most among quarterbacks in 2019.

Garoppolo has passed for 3,245 yards, 25 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and a passer rating of 103.9 through 13 games this season. He is now 19-4 as a starter, including a record of 17-4 with the 49ers.
