Dec 9, 2019 at 10:10 PM--

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has been nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Week award following the team's 48-46 Week 14 victory over the New Orleans Saints.

Garoppolo finished the game having completed 26-of-35 pass attempts (74.3 percent) for 349 yards with four touchdowns, an interception, and a passer rating of 131.7.

The other award nominees are quarterbacks Ryan Tannehill of the Tennessee Titans and Philip Rivers of the Los Angeles Chargers.

Garoppolo was last nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Week award following his Week 11 performance against the Arizona Cardinals and last won the award in 2017 following a win over the Titans. This is Garoppolo's fourth nomination of the season, tying him with Patrick Mahomes for most among quarterbacks in 2019.

Garoppolo has passed for 3,245 yards, 25 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and a passer rating of 103.9 through 13 games this season. He is now 19-4 as a starter, including a record of 17-4 with the 49ers.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo may have endured a lot of criticism this offseason — you know, if he listened to the outside noise. He doesn't. Garoppolo seems focused on doing what he needs to do to be ready for the 2020 season rather than dwell on February's Super Bowl collapse. He comes to work every day, works his butt off, has the same demeanor every day. The outside noise, it truly doesn't seem to affect him." That's good because there is a lot of pressure on Garoppolo. He'll be

While the Seattle Seahawks closed the gap a bit on the San Francisco 49ers with the trade for safety Jamal Adams, the Super Bowl runner-ups remain the favorite to repeat as NFC West champions. Bleacher Report may not see it that way, though. The site asked five of its NFL writers to pick each division's winners, and the NFC West wasn't the landslide victory for the 49ers that you might expect. In fact, three of the five writers went with the Seahawks, including longtime 49ers fan Matt Miller. Only Gary Davenport and Brad Gagnon picked San Francisco to repeat as division champions while Miller, Tyler Dunne, and Brent Sobleski each

San Francisco 49ers George Kittle and Jimmy Garoppolo were recently seen at Oracle Park, the home turf of Major League Baseball's Giants. No, he wasn't privy to some behind-the-scenes look at a game or batting practice for local stars. The Giants aren't even in town. They are in Los Angeles. It wasn't even the real Garoppolo and Kittle. The two were represented by cardboard cutouts, which will become permanent residents for this season, replacing fans in Oracle Park's seats. Garoppolo's and Kittle's were shown off among a group of other Bay Area celebrities. Between the two is the cutout of rapper E-40. Kittle made the following comment via twitter regarding his proximity to the 49ers quarterback (h/t to
