Watch: 49ers ‘Mic’d Up’ video shows Richard Sherman offering advice to Emmanuel Moseley vs. Browns

Richard Sherman is the latest player to be mic'd up during a game. The San Francisco 49ers had ears on the veteran cornerback during the team's 31-3 victory over the Cleveland Browns at Levi's Stadium on Monday night.

49ers Studios, the team's in-house production studio, posted the video above featuring the 31-year-old cornerback. It shows Sherman interacting with his children before kickoff, motivating teammates, and defending against Browns receivers. It also includes Sherman's interception of Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield.

Another cool aspect of the video is that it shows Sherman, a nine-year veteran, offering up advice and praises to cornerback Emmanuel Moseley, a second-year player who started his first game on Monday night in place of the injured Ahkello Witherspoon.

The 49ers signed Sherman, a four-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time first-team All-Pro, in March of 2018. He has registered 15 combined tackles, six passes defensed, two interceptions, and a touchdown through four starts with San Francisco this season.

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Emmanuel Moseley wasn't drafted, so he had to fight harder to prove himself during his rookie offseason in 2018. He is grateful for the opportunities to prove himself and realizes incoming undrafted rookies may not have the same chance this year. There have been no team-organized offseason practices due to the coronavirus

There's a training camp battle brewing between San Francisco 49ers cornerbacks Emmanuel Moseley and Ahkello Witherspoon. One will earn the right to start opposite veteran Richard Sherman, who believes Moseley has the upper hand after a strong 2019 campaign. Moseley, an undrafted player out of Tennessee, is entering his third NFL season. He started nine games last season after taking over for Witherspoon, who was sidelined with a foot injury. Moseley also started the 49ers' final two playoff games, including Super Bowl LIV. Sherman envisions Moseley getting the early snaps with the first-team defense when the 49ers finally get onto the practice field in August. "I think he'll have a whole training camp of starting,"

Veteran San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman recently said third-year cornerback Emmanuel Moseley would greatly benefit from the first-team reps he is about to get in training camp. That sounds like a vote of confidence from Sherman that Moseley is a shoo-in to fight off any competition for the starting job opposite him. "I think he'll have a whole training camp of starting," Sherman told The Athletic. "It's a different preparation and a different mindset when you come into the year knowing where you stand and being able to prepare in that way. And I think that will be good for him." Sherman sat down — virtually — with the
