San Francisco 49ers rookie Jalen Hurd bullied his way into the end zone for the team's first touchdown of the preseason. Quarterback Nick Mullens threw a short pass to the right that landed in Hurd's hands for the 20-yard score. The touchdown and ensuing extra point put the 49ers up 7-6 against the Dallas Cowboys at Levi's Stadium. The reception was also his first catch of the preseason.

Hurd was one of two wide receivers drafted by the 49ers this year. San Francisco used a third-round pick to select him out of Baylor.

You can watch Hurd's touchdown below.

The 6-foot-5 and 226-pound Hurd, a converted running back, caught 69 passes for 946 yards with four touchdowns as a senior at Baylor in 2018. He also had 48 carries for 209 rushing yards with three rushing touchdowns that season. Hurd transferred from Tennessee in 2017 and sat out the ensuing season due to NCAA rules.
