The President of the United States, Donald Trump, offered up his congratulations via Twitter to rookie San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa on being the No. 2 overall pick.
"Big Talent! San Francisco will embrace you but most importantly, always stay true to yourself," Trump added.

The President did not comment on any of the other 102 selections made during the first two days of the 2019 NFL Draft. Bosa has in the past expressed his support of President Trump via social media.
Bosa recently came under fire for his past social media activity, including pro-Trump tweets deleted by his agent. ESPN recently asked him why he wanted to abandon something he had previously embraced.
"I had to," Bosa responded. "There is a chance I might end up in San Francisco."
Bosa was also criticized for his negative comments about former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who came under fire from the President after he began kneeling during the national anthem in protest of social injustice and bringing awareness to his cause.
Bosa apologized for his comments on Friday calling the action a "bad decision."
"It's not like I'm saying his stance and what he was doing, that's not what I was talking about at all," he explained. "It's just a specific thing that happened, and me as a young kid, a thought popping into my head, and boom, I decided to tweet it out. Bad decision.
"I respect what he's done. If it empowers anybody, then he's doing a good thing. I apologize for that."
Bosa's agent deleting the posts, which also included the rookie liking some insensitive and offensive content, likely pushed the views into the spotlight.
"He just went through and deleted whatever he thought would rub people the wrong way," Bosa said. "I didn't think people would take that as me trying to hide things."
The President believes the city of San Francisco will embrace him. Bosa believes San Francisco will help him grow as a person.
"I definitely made some insensitive decisions throughout my life," Bosa told reporters. "I'm just excited to be here with a clean slate. I'm sorry if I hurt anybody. I definitely didn't intend for that to be the case, but I think me being here is even better for me as a person because I don't think there's any city that will help you grow as much as this one will.
"I'm going to be surrounded with people, all different kinds, so I'm going to grow as a person, and I'm going to be on my own. In college, you still have that support system around you. Now here, I'm going to be on my own. I'm going to grow up. I'm going to learn a lot of new things."
49ers general manager John Lynch told reporters he was proud how Bosa handled himself in front of reporters on Friday.
"I thought he handled it very well," Lynch said. "I think he faced what he knew would be a tough room, and I thought he was very genuine, honest. Took accountability for some of the things maybe he wasn't the most proud of, and did so by being himself, and that's what we thought he'd do. We were proud of him for that."
