49ers’ Marquise Goodwin will not play vs. Cardinals, per report

The San Francisco 49ers will likely have running back Matt Breida and cornerback Richard Sherman on the field Sunday versus the Arizona Cardinals, but they will be without their best receiver.

Marquise Goodwin, who was listed as questionable with hamstring and quad injuries on Friday's injury report, will not play against Arizona, according to a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN.


Goodwin has five receptions for 54 yards with a touchdown through three game appearances this season.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Friday that Goodwin's status would be a game-time decision and placed his chances of playing at about 50/50.
