C.J. Beathard said on KNBR Wednesday morning that his daughter is a couple of months away from celebrating her second birthday. His daughter is one of several reasons why Tuesday night's Crucial Catch fashion show was so special to him.
The event at Levi's Stadium featured guests who have had or are currently battling several types of cancer as they model apparel donated by Levi's. Approximately 25 models were paired with San Francisco 49ers players on the runway as stories of their strength and courage were shared with those in the audience, according to a press release issued by the team last week.
NFL Network's MJ Acosta shared the heartwarming video of Beathard carrying two-year-old cancer survivor, Tatum, down the runway.

Beathard shared that in college, he used to visit the young cancer patients every other week at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
"It was real inspiring just being up there having conversations with the kids and all that kind of stuff," said the 49ers quarterback.
Beathard was asked on Wednesday afternoon about Tuesday night's event, which he called one of the best that the 49ers help to put on.
"I have a two-year-old daughter myself so it came real naturally," said Beathard. "It's just tough to imagine what their families are going through because I have a two-year-old. If my daughter was in her shoes — it's just you have to be really strong and tough, not only as a person who is battling cancer but as a family that has to go through it with their daughter.
"I've got nothing but the ultimate respect for all those people there. They're all just real inspiring and (have) inspiring stories."
The NFL's annual league-wide Crucial Catch campaign, which promotes breast cancer awareness, kicks off this week.
