It looked like the San Francisco 49ers could be in a tough situation when they kick off on Sunday afternoon against the Los Angeles Chargers. The team's top two running backs, Matt Breida and Alfred Morris, were listed as questionable on Friday's injury report. That left just Raheem Mostert as the 49ers' lone healthy pure running back.

Breida, who is tied with Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott as the NFL's leading rusher, wasn't even sure what his status would be when asked by reporters on Friday.

"It'll be a game-time decision," Breida said via The Mercury News. "I have to feel comfortable. I'm not at 100 percent right now."

It sounds like Breida will play, according to a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN. Not only that, but Morris is also expected to be available. Both running backs are dealing with knee injuries. While Schefter reports that Breida is further along than Morris, both are expected to go against the Chargers.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Friday that Breida had an up and down week of practice as far as his health is concerned and the team is just trying to manage the wear and tear on the running back.

"I'm not going to go out there and risk getting hurt," Breida added. "We have a long season to play."

Breida has rushed for 274 yards on 32 carries (8.6-yard average) with a touchdown this season. He also has seven receptions for 53 yards.
