49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo saw just one drive during San Francisco's 2018 exhibition opener against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday.
"Meh," would probably describe how San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo fared in his team's preseason opener versus the Dallas Cowboys at Levi's Stadium Thursday.
In fairness, Garoppolo and most of the Niners' starters saw just one offensive drive. And during that stretch, the franchise quarterback posted a 3-of-6 line for just 34 yards and a passer rating of 67.4 before giving way to No. 2 quarterback C.J. Beathard.
Two of Garoppolo's tosses were awfully high. One, intended deep for tight end George Kittle, missed over the top. He also overthrew wide receiver Marquise Goodwin.
On the positive side, though, Garoppolo flashed some solid movement after being flushed out of the pocket, connecting with rookie wideout Richie James for a nine-yard gain.
