The San Francisco 49ers completed their final full practice of the week as the team prepares for its matchup against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

The 49ers will go into the game with a shortage of healthy safeties. Jimmie Ward and Jaquiski Tartt are both out for the season after each suffered a broken arm. Adrian Colbert will not play on Sunday as he continues to recover from surgery last week on his broken right thumb, which he sustained on November 12 against the New York Giants.

The 49ers have defensive backs Antone Exum, Dexter McCoil, and Leon Hall who could help fill in during Colbert's absence.

Earlier this week, head coach Kyle Shanahan said he is hopeful to see the return of three other rookies in tight end George Kittle (ankle), wide receiver Trent Taylor (ribs), and defensive end Solomon Thomas (knee).

Taylor and Thomas are both listed as questionable for Sunday's game.

"[Thomas] has gotten better each day," Shanahan said on Friday. "Monday, he was a little rusty, as they all are coming off his MCL like he has, better Wednesday, better Thursday, and better today. By no means is he back 100-percent so we still have him listed as questionable."

Right tackle Trent Brown injured his shoulder during Thursday's practice and will be a game-time decision, according to Shanahan. He did not practice on Friday.

Below are the official injury reports for the 49ers and Seahawks. Also included is Friday's practice participation report for the 49ers, which was provided by the 49ers Communications team.

Trent Taylor snatches up 49ers star receiver's old number

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel will be wearing No. 1 the next time he steps onto the football field, leaving behind his No. 19 jersey. It's an unfortunate change for any fan who previously invested in a Deebo jersey—unless they consider it a throwback. Newly signed wide receiver Trent Taylor quickly claimed No. 19 after rejoining the team on a one-year deal following three seasons elsewhere. Taylor last wore No. 15 with the 49ers, a number currently worn by wide receiver Jauan Jennings. Taylor also wore No. 81 with the team. The 49ers' official team site has listed the jersey numbers for several of the team's free-agent newcomers (and Maliek Collins, acquired via a

Trent Williams will be 36 at the start of the 2024 NFL season. While retirement isn't on his mind just yet, the San Francisco 49ers must consider a succession plan for left tackle. NFL Media's Bucky Brooks unveiled his final mock draft, projecting the San Francisco 49ers to select former Arizona offensive tackle Jordan Morgan with the No. 31 overall pick as their eventual replacement for Williams. "With Trent Williams entering the twilight of his career, the 49ers have to find an eventual replacement on the edge," Brooks noted. "Morgan is a sound blocker at the point of attack with diverse skills

Brandon Aiyuk's agent denies report of Steelers 'aggressively pursuing' the 49ers receiver

By David Bonilla
Apr 18

On Wednesday, Chat Sports contributor Chase Senior reported that the Pittsburgh Steelers were "aggressively pursuing" San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. He further stated that the Steelers are confident they can finalize a deal for the star player. REPORTS: The Pittsburgh Steelers are aggressively pursuing a Brandon Aiyuk trade and the Steelers would be "surprised" if they don't land Aiyuk. Of note: Pittsburgh has the 20th overall pick. The Niners could look at that as equal value for Aiyuk if they can't get a deal done.…
