Offensive coordinator Curtis Modkins did not give an update on Hyde's injury when he met with the media today prior to practice.
The injury occurred during the third quarter of the 49ers' October 16 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Mike Davis replaced Hyde while the 49ers' starting running back was on the sideline. The 49ers promoted RB DuJuan Harris from the practice squad for their game against the Buccaneers. He rushed for 39 yards on 11 carries in that game.
Hyde has 429 yards on 109 carries and six touchdowns so far this season. He has averaged 3.9 yards per carry.
WR Torrey Smith and OT Joe Staley were also present during practice. Over the past week, the two had been linked to trade rumors. They likely would not be practicing if a trade before today's deadline were imminent.
OLB Aaron Lynch is not participating in practice. He suffered a left ankle injury, which is in a splint, against the Buccaneers. Lynch left the Buccaneers game after his legs were buried by players under a pileup during a tackle. CB Rashard Robinson is also absent from practice. He left the Buccaneers game when DL DeForest Buckner stepped on his left foot. Robinson was seen walking with crutches following the loss.
