Bowman is scheduled to have an MRI on Monday to check the severity of the injury. He went down with a non-contact injury during the third quarter of the team's game against the Dallas Cowboys at Levi's Stadium. The Pro Bowl and All-Pro linebacker was rushing the line of scrimmage and went down on the field grabbing his left ankle.
Bowman received attention from the 49ers' medical staff and eventually walked off of the field with a limp and some help from team trainers. He was replaced in the game by Nick Bellore.
Bowman was taken via cart to the 49ers locker room. While head coach Chip Kelly always has a press conference the day following a game, it isn't always late enough to get any injury updates from. We'll know more once the results of the MRI are made known.
