NFL.com projected that Cooper would be selected in rounds 6 or 7 of the NFL Draft.
Analysis
Lance Zierlein of NFL Media had the following to say in his scouting report:
Cooper is one of the tough guys up front for the Rebels, and he has good size and length for the position, but he will be limited to run blocking in tight quarters and his lack of overall athleticism and body control could make him too leaky in pass protection to ever see the field as a starter.
DraftInsider.net had the following to say about Cooper in their scouting report:
Junior-college transfer that's started at both tackle positions the past 2 seasons. Fundamentally sound college tackle who projects to guard at the next level. Quickly sets up off the snap, for the most part bends his knees and blocks with proper pad level. Stays square, fires into blocks and effectively fights with his hands. Anchors in pass protection, keeps his head on a swivel and stays with assignments. Displays good blocking vision and always looking for someone to hit. Cooper offers the size and skill to see duty as an occasional spot starter on Sunday if he medically checks out.
