As announced by the team yesterday, the following are the dates for the 49ers' offseason activities.
Phase 1 begins April 4
The first two weeks will consist of strength and conditioning as well as rehabilitation.
Local pro day on April 13
Local Bay Area draft prospects.
Phase 2 begins April 18
On-field workouts, player instruction, drills, and limited team practice. No live contact permitted.
Organized team activities (May 17-19, May 24-26, May 31, June 1-2)
No live contact permitted. 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills with helmets are permitted, but cannot exceed six hours per day with a maximum of two hours on the field for any one player.
Voluntary minicamp from April 26-28
Because the 49ers once again have a new head coach, they gain an extra minicamp for the second straight year. This minicamp will lead into the NFL Draft, which kicks off on April 28.
Mandatory minicamp from June 7-9
This will be the final gathering for players prior to training camp. The team will hold two days with two practices on each day and then another day with a single practice. Players can only participate for up to ten hours per day, which includes preparation for participation. On-field activities are limited to three and a half hours per player.
