The Broncos had reportedly inquired about a possible trade for the 49ers quarterback, but may also be looking at the option of brining in QB Robert Griffin.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting that the 49ers "received some calls" about Kaepernick, but that they were nothing too serious. That likely means that the calls were merely inquiries as well. Teams are likely feeling out the situation before making decisions on which directions to go.
Rapoport also states that interest should ramp up today with the Broncos as one of the interested parties.
The 49ers are already estimated to have 12 selections in the draft next month, including the seventh overall pick.
In February, Kaepernick's agents requested permission from the team to seek a trade. Regardless of what happens with Denver, it is appearing more and more unlikely that Kaepernick remains with the 49ers for the 2016 season.
