We already knew that there was heavy interest in the talented receiver. He reportedly visited 16 interested teams, including the New England Patriots, New York Jets, New York Giants, San Diego Chargers, and Philadelphia Eagles, before choosing to sign with the 49ers. According to another report, he even had 13 offers from teams that wanted to acquire his services.
According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, one of those teams was the Jets. Rogers turned down an offer from the Jets to join the 49ers.
Rogers visited with the Eagles in December when new 49ers head coach Chip Kelly was still with his former team. Kelly reportedly called Rogers within hours of learning that he would become the 49ers' new coach. He was trying to recruit him. "He basically told me, 'I guess I had to come to Cali to sign you since you're a Cali boy,'" said Rogers. Kelly also stated that Rogers was the first player that he wanted to sign at his new job.
Last year, Rogers caught 87 passes for 1,448 yards and 10 touchdowns with the Calgary Stampeders. He will get a two-year deal with $450,000 and $540,000 base salaries, $125,000 signing bonus, $75,000 in bonuses, and a $100,000 base salary guarantee.

Eric Kendricks, Garrett Wallow provide huge defensive boost in 49ers Wild Card win
