The 49ers are coming off of a 26-20 overtime victory against the Chicago Bears. The Browns are coming off of a 37-3 defeat against the Cincinnati Bengals.
WR Anquan Boldin became the 18th player in NFL history to record 13,000-or-more receiving yards in their career as he finished the game with five receptions for 37 yards. RB Shaun Draughn also scored on a one-yard touchdown run, marking his first score since 2012.
The 49ers defense scored their first defensive touchdown of the season when DB Jimmie Ward intercepted Bears QB Jay Cutler and returned it 29 yards for his first interception and touchdown of his career. S Jaquiski Tartt brought down Cutler for the team's only sack of the game and the second of his career.
The 49ers offense will be without RB Carlos Hyde for the remainder of the season. He was placed on season-ending injured reserve on Saturday. On Sunday, the team will also be without TE Vance McDonald and LB Michael Wilhoite, both of which were injured in Chicago. McDonald suffered a concussion and Wilhoite has a high ankle sprain.
Cutler had his worst passer rating (64.2) of the season against the 49ers and CB Kenneth Acker had his best Pro Football Focus rating (+2.9) of his two-year career against him. During the week prior, Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer also had his worst passer rating (80.3) of the season against the 49ers.

One of the top storylines of the game is Browns QB Johnny Manziel and his second, and possibly his last, chance with Cleveland. Manziel is coming off of a two-game benching by his head coach, Mike Pettine. he was caught partying during Cleveland's week 11 bye. However, on November 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Manziel was 33 of 45 passes for a career-high 372 yards in a 30-9 defeat.
While eliminated from playoff contention, the Browns currently hold the top spot in the 2016 NFL Draft (if the season ended today).
The 49ers should be able to run against the Browns, whose run-defense ranks 31st after giving up 136.3 yards per game. The 49ers have allowed 170 yards or more on the ground in four of their last six games, but the Browns own the league's worst rushing offense (73.9) and are averaging a meager 50.8 yards over their last five.
