According to Roger Phillips of Inside Bay Area, neither player is expected to play in the team's home opener against the St. Louis Rams next week. Both are listed as doubtful.
Tony Wragge looks to be Allen's replacement for next week. Wragge played almost the whole game today after Allen left. Adam Snyder is Jennings' likely replacement.
TE Vernon Davis suffered a bruised hip during the game but later returned to the lineup. His injury is not believed to be serious.
Some motivation for the next time these two teams meet
CB Antrel Rolle had some interesting comments after the game. "Coming down to a Hail Mary at the end, there’s no way it should have been that close. It should have been a 40-to-nothing game. … Misdirection, a lot of trick plays, a lot of throwbacks. We knew they were going to go out and do that, because they couldn’t beat us just playing straight-up football," said Rolle.
