The team will be looking for revenge today. The Seahawks have already secured a playoff spot and on Sunday, they are looking to wrap up their first NFC West division title since 2010 and a first-round bye. The 49ers are trying to stay ahead of a number of other teams in the race for the final spot in the NFC playoffs.

The Seahawks have lost four straight at Candlestick Park, being outscored 109-54. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick will be looking to improve upon his last outing against Seattle. On September 15, he was 13 of 28 for 127yards, three interceptions, a fumble, a 20.1 quarterback rating, and three sacks.

The 49ers defense will have to stop running back Marshawn Lynch, who has averaged 104.8 yards in their last four meetings. He has also managed to score five touchdowns in his last two games against the 49ers. The 49ers currently rank 11th in the NFL against the run.

The 49ers defense will also have to worry about quarterback Russell Wilson, who has passed for 2,672 yards, 22 touchdowns and 6 interceptions this season for a quarterback rating of 108.5. During the Seahawks' last two victories over the 49ers, he has thrown 5 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.

While listed as questionable, left tackle Joe Staley has given every indication that he intends to play against the Seahawks after being injured during the first quarter against the Rams. If healthy, that would be a huge boost for a 49ers offensive line that is already without guard Mike Iupati.


Last week, the 49ers (8-4) defeated the St. Louis Rams 23-13. The Seahawks (11-1) defeated the New Orleans Saints 34-7.
