The classic font logo, a fan favorite, returned to the end zones. According to Nick Church, a fan from San Jose, California, the team announced over the stadium speakers that this was a preview of what the field would look like for the team's final season at Candlestick Park. Next season, the team will move into their new home, Levi's Stadium, in Santa Clara, California.
Another logo that appeared on the field was a Farewell Season logo for Candlestick Park, which was placed at the 50-yard line. This image is also from the 49ers' official Instagram account.
