I'm very thankful I didn't get the franchise tag again but still hopeful this means something long term with the San Francisco 49ers!
49ers CEO Jed York chimed in on Twitter with the following response to Goldson.
@JedYork
@thehawk38 hope we can get something done
It sounds like the 49ers are still willing to make a deal to keep Goldson on the team. However, the 49ers have a recent history of not overpaying for their players.
Today, Mindi Bach of CSN Bay Area reported that an NFL source had told her that there were no new talks regarding a new deal between Goldson and San Francisco yet.
In 2013, Goldson had 55 tackles and 3 interceptions in the regular season. He added 14 tackles in the postseason.
