How is this San Francisco 49ers (who will draft no. 6 or 7 pending a coin flip on Friday, February 24th) news? Many insiders believe that the key will be the 49ers and their pick since the team will be looking to trade down with a team coveting Cutler. Should the team end up with the 6th pick, they will have more options available to them since teams will likely want to jump ahead of Oakland and other teams looking to draft Cutler.

According to Sportsline.com, the 49ers have interviewed 15 people for the team's open president position. While Seattle's Mike Reinfeldt was a leading candidate, he turned down the 49ers offer that reportedly would have paid him twice his salary. Others who have interviewed are Ray Anderson, the executive vice president of the Falcons; Bob Wallace, executive vice president of the Rams; and Bob Ferguson, former general manager of the Seahawks.
The team is looking for an individual with at least 20 years of experience in the league. It is also said that Nolan, who is pushing for the addition, has disagreed with director of football operations Paraag Marathe.
