The wildcard games will feature the Detroit Lions (6th seed) at the New Orleans Saints (3rd seed) and the Atlanta Falcons (5th seed) at the NFC East champion (4th seed). The Saints will host their game on Saturday, January 7 at 5:00 PM while the NFC East champion will host their game on Sunday, January 8 at 10:00 AM.
The Green bay Packers (1st seed) will await the weakest of the wildcard winners and host their game on Sunday, January 15.
San Francisco beat the St. Louis Rams 34-27 in their final game of the season. Saturday will be the 49ers' first playoff appearance since the 2002 season.
