Just as importantly, the 49ers can extend their NFC West lead after the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams lost in Week 6.
Seattle fell to the Denver Broncos on Thursday night, while Los Angeles suffered a last-second upset loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Entering the 2026 season, many expected the Rams and Seahawks to battle for the division title. Instead, the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks sit at 3-3, while the Rams are 2-4.
Both teams have lost two straight games, including Seattle's Week 5 defeat against the 49ers.
Meanwhile, San Francisco remains one of just three undefeated teams in the NFL, alongside the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings, who are both 5-0.
The 49ers have a chance to become the first team this season to reach six wins, but they'll need to avoid a primetime upset against Washington on Monday night.
NFC West standings:
- San Francisco 49ers: 5-0
- Seattle Seahawks: 3-3
- Arizona Cardinals: 2-4
- Los Angeles Rams: 2-4
