San Francisco 49ers punter Corliss Waitman was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after the team's 32-29 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5.

Waitman punted five times for 216 yards, averaging 43.2 yards per punt. All five punts landed inside the 20-yard line, including three inside the 10. Both totals are tied for the most in a single game this season.

This marks Waitman's second career Player of the Week honor. He previously earned the award in Week 3 of the 2022 season with the Denver Broncos.

Waitman becomes the fourth 49ers punter to earn NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors, joining Andy Lee, who won the award three times; Mitch Wishnowsky, a two-time winner; and Bradley Pinion, who received the honor in Week 9 of the 2018 season.
