Williams, a first-round pick by the 49ers in the 2025 NFL Draft, was off to a solid start in his rookie season before suffering a torn ACL. He appeared in nine games, making nine starts, and recorded 20 tackles, four tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, and one sack. His injury limited his opportunity to build on his promising start.
At Georgia, Williams recorded 67 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, and 14 sacks across 40 games. He earned Second-Team All-SEC honors in both 2023 and 2024, finishing his college career with five sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss in his final season. He also helped Georgia win the College Football Playoff National Championship during his freshman season.
According to 49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan, Williams was consistently improving each game as a rookie. The 49ers will need him along the defensive line, especially against the run.
Stoll entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska in 2021, signing with the Philadelphia Eagles. He spent the first four seasons of his professional career with Philadelphia, appearing in 57 regular-season games and making 28 starts.
Stoll has appeared in 76 regular-season games over five NFL seasons, recording 28 receptions for 239 yards and one touchdown. His most productive receiving season came in 2022, when he caught 11 passes for 123 yards while starting 11 games for Philadelphia. He also spent time with the Miami Dolphins in 2024 before joining the New Orleans Saints in 2025.
Okoronkwo was elevated after being released on Friday to make room on the roster for Williams. Now that he has re-signed, Okoronkwo will play on Sunday. Through the first four games of the 2026 season, he has recorded two tackles and one sack with the 49ers.
Okoronkwo has appeared in 85 regular-season games during his NFL career, recording 18 sacks, 134 total tackles, and four forced fumbles. The 6-foot-2, 253-pound defender also appeared in seven postseason games earlier in his career, including during the Los Angeles Rams' Super Bowl-winning 2021 season.
