The National Football League was not fond of San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk's celebration after he caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Brock Purdy in the third quarter.

The NFL fined Juszczyk $14,926 and provided the fullback with the following explanation:

"Your imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste."

Juszczyk has already filed an appeal.

Here is the play as shown on the broadcast. You can briefly catch the start of Juszczyk's celebration at the end.

Apparently, the NFL believes it was offensive enough to hurt the league's brand—the same league that has current partnerships with several companies that produce alcoholic beverages, including Anheuser-Busch.

Additionally, this isn't the first time Juszczyk has celebrated in this manner. The demonstration is believed to be an ode to his nickname, "Juice," and not meant to specifically represent the consumption of beer. The fullback even texted ESPN's Adam Schefter, saying, "And I don't even drink beer!"

"This is the first time he has been fined," Schefter noted.

Juszczyk later added the following on social media.
