Injury Notes

Running back Kaelon Black practiced after appearing on Thursday's injury report with a groin issue. After Thursday's practice, head coach Kyle Shanahan stressed that limiting the rookie was simply a precaution.

"I think we're just being smart with him," Shanahan said during a radio interview. "He was a little tight today (Thursday), so we didn't push him too hard."

Meanwhile, kicker Eddy Piñeiro did not practice again, missing his third consecutive day while dealing with an illness.

Both Black and Piñeiro were listed as questionable for the game, and Shanahan said the 49ers plan to sign another kicker in case Piñeiro can't play.

Unsurprisingly, wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling has been ruled out. He is expected to miss about 10 weeks after undergoing ankle surgery and will likely be placed on injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game.

Below are Friday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Dolphins, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
