ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the 49ers sent a 2027 seventh-round draft pick to the Texans for Patterson.
The Texans selected Patterson (6-4, 310) out of Notre Dame in the sixth round (No. 201 overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft. He has spent his entire NFL career in Houston.
Patterson appeared in all 17 games for the Texans during the 2025 season, making five starts.
Over his three NFL seasons, Patterson has played in 39 games and made 21 starts. The 49ers are adding an experienced offensive lineman with positional versatility as they continue shaping their roster ahead of the 2026 season.
Patterson has played 1,068 snaps at center and 277 snaps at left guard over his career.
