Right guard Dominick Puni also did not participate in practice but was seen working on the side. Wide receiver Jacob Cowing was also added to the injury list.
Running back Christian McCaffrey and tight end George Kittle participated in their second consecutive practice. The 49ers activated Kittle from the active/physically unable to perform (PUP) list on Sunday, while McCaffrey had previously been sidelined due to "tightness."

Defensive lineman Xavier Thomas, who was recently waived/injured, went unclaimed and landed on the 49ers' injured reserve list on Monday. However, the team released him with an injury settlement on Tuesday.

Offensive notes
Tight end George Kittle continues to be held out of team drills as his workload gradually increases. He is returning from an Achilles injury. Kittle worked on the side during team drills.
"We've just been having him go with non-competitive periods, so that's the first four periods, routes on air, things like that, just working with the quarterbacks, working with the O-line," head coach Kyle Shanahan explained. "Hoping next week, when we get those three practices after the mandatory three days off, hopefully he can get in there a little bit more."
Rookie wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling wore a blue no-contact jersey but practiced. Quarterback Brock Purdy connected with Stribling, who had multiple catches on the day, on a 50-yard, over-the-shoulder pass along the right sideline with cornerback Jack Jones and safety Marques Sigle in coverage. Stribling had another catch against Jones, who tried to break up the pass.
Stribling has been impressive during the preseason, hauling in 11 catches for 109 receiving yards in two games.
"The preseason games don't mean that much to me, and the coverages just went that way," Shanahan said. "He happened to get targeted. He made those plays, but he's been doing that in practice too. He's where we expected him to be."
Purdy tossed touchdown passes to tight end Jake Tonges and Luke Farrell during red-zone drills and had an impressive no-look pass to wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge over the middle.
Running back Christian McCaffrey looks fresh after missing significant time due to "tightness." He had a couple of would-be explosive runs and hauled in a Purdy pass over the middle for a significant gain while linebackers Fred Warner and Jaden Dugger were in coverage.
Rookie guard Carver Willis struggled during one-on-one drills.
Defensive notes
Safety Marques Sigle intercepted Brock Purdy on a pass intended for wide receiver Demarcus Robinson. The ball tipped off Robinson's hands.
Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir and linebacker Garret Wallow each broke up a Purdy pass intended for Jake Tonges.
Defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa continues to be the team's best defensive lineman during training camp. He is proving to be a smart addition to the roster. The 49ers traded for Odighizuwa in March, and he looks like a significant upgrade to the defensive front. The defender was once again a menace in the trenches.
"It's been how we were kind of expecting," Shanahan said of Odighizuwa. "We knew we were getting a good player. And so, we've seen that. I didn't know the type of guy he fully was until we started really hearing it from around the league and people from there, and that's been cool to go through this whole camp with him.
"He's exactly how he's advertised. He's a true leader. He goes hard as can be every day. That's why he gets really annoying for the O-line just because of how hard he goes. They've been battling all camp. He's made us better. I think we've made him better, and I'm real excited to have him on our team."
Linebacker Fred Warner delivered a big tackle on running back Christian McCaffrey.
Defensive end Keion White delivered multiple quarterback pressures.
Linebacker Dre Greenlaw didn't participate much in team drills. That was likely a precautionary move, giving players like Larry Worth III more opportunities to get practice reps. Worth broke up a Mac Jones pass intended for Tonges.
Rookie linebacker Jaden Dugger had a pass breakup that could have resulted in a significant completion to De'Zhaun Stribling.
Defensive ends Sam Okuayinonu and Keion White looked like they recorded would-be sacks.
Defensive tackle James Thompson Jr., who was added as an undrafted free agent, continues to shine in one-on-one drills.
That's a wrap for training camp
The 49ers won't practice again until after the team's preseason finale against the Raiders on Thursday night. But this is the end of the training camp reports.
