Craig's longtime 49ers connection was on full display as former San Francisco owner Eddie DeBartolo Jr. presented the Hall of Fame running back with his gold jacket onstage.
And here are some other 49ers Hall of Famers having a little fun at the event.
Craig spent the first eight seasons of his 11-year NFL career with the 49ers after San Francisco selected him in the second round of the 1983 NFL Draft. He quickly became one of the most versatile weapons in Bill Walsh's West Coast offense, excelling as both a runner and receiver—a prototype for modern-day running backs.
The three-time Super Bowl champion made history in 1985 when he became the first player in NFL history to record at least 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards in the same season. Craig later earned AP Offensive Player of the Year honors in 1988 after recording 2,036 scrimmage yards, helping lead the 49ers to another Super Bowl championship.
Craig finished his NFL career with 8,189 rushing yards, 4,911 receiving yards and 73 total touchdowns. He was selected to four Pro Bowls, earned multiple All-Pro honors, and helped the 49ers win Super Bowls XIX, XXIII and XXIV.
