In the viral clip, someone in the crowd can be heard yelling, "Fore!" immediately after Rice's tee shot. The Pro Football Hall of Famer quickly turns around, walks into the crowd of spectators, and chases after the heckler while asking those nearby, "Which one?" in an effort to identify the person responsible.
As Rice ran past, one fan can be heard shouting, "Go get him, Jerry."
Although the actual confrontation is not clearly visible in the video, the 63-year-old Rice returns moments later to cheers from the crowd, with fans applauding his reaction.
Rice is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and is widely regarded as the greatest wide receiver in NFL history. Over 20 NFL seasons, he totaled 1,549 receptions for 22,895 receiving yards and 197 touchdown catches—NFL records that still stand today.
The 49ers selected Rice with the No. 16 overall pick in the 1985 NFL Draft. He spent his first 16 NFL seasons with San Francisco, helping the franchise win three Super Bowl championships while earning Super Bowl XXIII MVP honors.
