According to Kittle, the ordeal began around 4 a.m. when Claire woke him up after discovering a spider "the size of a half dollar" in the bathroom.
"Without hesitation, I arose to combat the intruder," Kittle wrote. "Claire handed me the slant board I've been using for rehab, and I immediately knew the spider had no chance. It took but 1 attempt to strike down my opponent. I received hugs and kisses for my bravery and fell back asleep with confidence."
Kittle is currently rehabbing from the torn Achilles injury he suffered during the 49ers' playoff victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in January. Fortunately for San Francisco, the injury was not as severe as initially feared, leading many to believe the star tight end could be ready for the start of the 2026 NFL season—or shortly thereafter.
If Kittle's recovery is moving as efficiently as his spider-elimination skills, the 49ers may not have to worry about their All-Pro tight end being sidelined for very long.
