In an interview with Justin Melo of Sports Illustrated, Barber listed the 49ers among several teams he has connected with via Zoom.
"I've had a ton of Zoom meetings," Barber said. "Some of the recent ones include the Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills, Seattle Seahawks, Carolina Panthers, and New Orleans Saints, to name a few."

The 49ers are widely expected to address the offensive line in the 2026 NFL Draft, particularly amid ongoing contract negotiations with left tackle Trent Williams, who will turn 38 before the upcoming season.
Barber emphasized his team-first mentality and versatility when discussing what he can bring at the next level.
"I want to help the team win," Barber said. "However I can do that as a rookie, I'm going to commit myself to the plan. If that means I have to play every position on the offensive line, I'll do that.
"I just want to help the team win. I feel like I have the tools to do that. I can't wait to go out there and play my best football. I think I'm coming off a strong 2025 season, especially the five-game stretch at the end of our season. That was the best stretch of my career."
While Barber posted a 66.7 pass-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus, he excelled as a run blocker, earning a career-high 90.0 grade. He also finished with an 83.5 overall offensive grade.
Barber (6-7, 318) spent five seasons at Florida. In 2025, Barber started all 12 games at left tackle for the Gators. He recorded 750 offensive snaps and earned third-team All-SEC honors.
At the NFL Scouting Combine, Barber recorded a 5.12-second 40-time, 32-inch vertical jump, and 9-foot-3 broad jump.
