According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the New York Giants are signing former San Francisco 49ers safety Jason Pinnock, an unrestricted free agent.


Pinnock entered the NFL as a fifth-round pick (175th overall) out of the University of Pittsburgh in the 2021 NFL Draft, selected by the New York Jets. After playing his rookie season in New York, he spent three seasons with the Giants from 2022 to 2024. In 2025, Pinnock joined the San Francisco 49ers on a one-year contract.


During the 2025 regular season, Pinnock appeared in 17 games for the 49ers, starting seven. He recorded 41 combined tackles (one for a loss) during the regular season.

Over his five-year NFL career, Pinnock has appeared in 75 games with 46 starts, totaling 268 tackles (13 for a loss) and 6.5 sacks. His defensive production also includes 11 passes defensed, five forced fumbles, and two interceptions, one of which he returned for a 102-yard touchdown in the 2023 season.
