Adofo-Mensah is already working with the organization, though his official title is expected to be finalized following the 2026 NFL Draft.
This marks Adofo-Mensah's second stint with the 49ers. He began his NFL front-office career in San Francisco in 2013 as the manager of football research and development. He was promoted to director of football research and development in 2017, during Lynch's first year as general manager.
Adofo-Mensah later served as the Cleveland Browns' vice president of football operations from 2020 to 2021 before being hired as the Vikings' general manager in 2022. Minnesota announced his dismissal in January.
The addition of Adofo-Mensah strengthens Lynch's front office staff as the 49ers prepare for free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft.
