49ers tight end George Kittle, however, prefers neither team wins.
Speaking to a reporter this past week, Kittle made it clear he's not particularly invested in the outcome of Super Bowl LX — at least not in the traditional sense.
When asked where he and his wife, Claire, would be watching the game, Kittle turned to her and joked, "Am I watching that?"
Claire laughed and jokingly suggested they might skip it. But Kittle acknowledged that probably won't happen.
"She makes me watch every Super Bowl that I'm not in," Kittle said. "I might be playing video games. I don't know. I hope both teams lose."
Kittle suffered an Achilles injury during the Wild Card matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Without their All-Pro tight end, the 49ers were eliminated the following week by the Seahawks in the Divisional Round, falling short of their own Super Bowl aspirations.
Now, with Super Bowl LX set to be played at Levi's Stadium, Kittle and the 49ers are left watching from home, making it clear he'd prefer not to see either team hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
H/t to Mike Masala of Niners Wire for the find.
