Quarterback play


In his third game back from a turf toe injury, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy earned a 74.5 offensive grade and a 73.2 passing grade—both season highs. He finished 16-of-29 for 168 yards with a touchdown and was sacked just once by the Browns' potent pass rush.
Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders earned a 56.1 offensive grade, completing 16-of-25 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown.


Highest marks


Browns right guard Wyatt Teller was the highest-graded player of the game, earning an 83.9 defensive grade.

The highest-graded 49ers player was linebacker Dee Winters, who earned a 79.6 defensive grade.

Tight end George Kittle was the 49ers' highest-graded offensive player with a 77.7 overall grade.

Blocking


Center Jake Brendel was the 49ers' highest-graded offensive lineman, earning a 63.6 offensive grade.

Left tackle Trent Williams earned the team's top run-blocking grade (79.5), while left guard Ben Bartch was the highest-graded pass blocker (81.1). Bartch allowed no pressures in seven pass-blocking snaps before exiting with a foot injury.


Running back Christian McCaffrey finished with the team's highest pass-blocking grade (81.1), albeit on just six pass-blocking snaps.

Left guard Spencer Burford was the 49ers' lowest-graded offensive lineman (51.1).

Fullback Kyle Juszczyk earned the team's lowest run-blocking grade. His 50.7 mark on 14 run-blocking snaps was his lowest since Week 6 (37.4). Burford finished as the game's lowest-graded pass blocker (21.7).

In total, the 49ers' offensive line surrendered 15 pressures.

Pass Catchers


Tight end George Kittle earned the game's best receiving grade (81.6), finishing with four catches for a game-high 67 yards. Wide receiver Jauan Jennings ranked second with a 73.7 receiving grade, recording four catches for 39 yards and a touchdown.

Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne received the team's lowest receiving grade (54.0) after being held without a catch despite one target.

The 49ers' pass catchers recorded no drops in the game.

Rushing


For the second consecutive week, quarterback Brock Purdy earned the 49ers' best rushing grade (63.2), while Brian Robinson was the team's highest-graded running back (58.5).

Robinson totaled 26 rushing yards on eight carries (3.3 yards per attempt), while running back Christian McCaffrey posted a team-high 53 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries (2.7 yards per attempt).


Pass rush


The 49ers' highest-graded pass rusher was defensive end Robert Beal Jr., who earned a 69.6 pass-rushing grade but recorded just one pressure.

Defensive ends Clelin Ferrell and Keion White tied for a team-high four pressures each. Ferrell had two sacks, while White recorded one.

Rookie defensive tackle Alfred Collins earned the lowest pass-rush grade (50.0), the worst of his young career.

Linebacker Dee Winters earned the 49ers' highest run-defense grade (71.8), his best since Week 4 (84.0). He registered two stops. Only linebacker Curtis Robinson and defensive end Clelin Ferrell had more, with three each.


The team's lowest-graded run defender was defensive tackle Kalia Davis (37.7).

Pass defense


Linebacker Dee Winters also earned the 49ers' highest coverage grade (76.2), allowing just three receptions for eight yards. Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir trailed closely with a 76.0 coverage grade, allowing one catch for seven yards.

Linebacker Luke Gifford recorded the team's lowest coverage grade (38.7) and finished with a team-worst 33.8 defensive grade.

Tackling


Cornerback Renardo Green earned the 49ers' best tackling grade (76.9), finishing the game without a missed tackle. Defensive end Clelin Ferrell came in second with a 75.9 tackling grade.

Pro Football Focus identified Alfred Collins as the game's worst tackler. The defensive tackle earned a game-low 26.6 tackling grade. Defensive end Keion White wasn't far behind with a 27.4 tackling grade.
