However, injuries can sometimes surface the next day. Speaking on a Monday conference call, Shanahan reiterated that there were no additional concerns from the game, meaning the 49ers came out of Week 10 relatively unscathed.
Shanahan remains cautious, though, given the team's track record this season.
"I'm still not totally believing it," Shanahan said. "So, I'm gonna wait until Wednesday to make sure nothing creeps out. But it's looking that way two days in a row, so hopefully, that'll be the case."
Ricky Pearsall expected to practice
Shanahan also shared some positive updates. The 49ers are optimistic that wide receiver Ricky Pearsall will return to practice this week. The second-year receiver has been sidelined since Week 4 and has yet to participate in practice or play in a game since then.
"We're hoping to get him back in practice Wednesday," Shanahan said.
Shanahan added, "Hopefully, the next two days go good, and if they do, then it'll be back out there. I think he had a good weekend, is what that means."
Brandon Aiyuk remains sidelined
Unfortunately, the team won't be opening Brandon Aiyuk's practice window this week. The star wideout continues to recover from the ACL and MCL injuries he suffered last season, and his return remains on hold.
Brock Purdy update
As for Brock Purdy, who several reports suggest could return this weekend against the Arizona Cardinals, Shanahan cautioned that the quarterback must meet a specific recovery benchmark before being cleared to play.
The 49ers want to see that Purdy has no limitations through a whole week of practice before putting him in a game.
"We want to see it, want to hear from him, and want three aggressive practices, and want to make sure he feels good after all of them each day, too," Shanahan said.
Purdy has missed action since Week 4 due to a turf toe injury and has played in only two games this season.
Alfred Collins will be evaluated
Rookie defensive tackle Alfred Collins missed Sunday's game after suffering a hip injury last week. He is scheduled to be re-evaluated on Wednesday to assess his recovery progress.
Shanahan confirmed that Collins was close to being able to play against the Rams.
"No, it was close," Shanahan said. "We were hoping he could. It was really a game-time decision. He came in and tried to go, and just didn't improve as much as we were hoping. So, should have better luck and a better chance with that this week."
