- Offensive lineman Ben Bartch has been activated from the injured reserve list.
- Defensive linemen Clelin Ferrell and Sebastian Valdez were elevated from the practice squad.
- Defensive lineman Mykel Williams was placed on injured reserve.
Bartch was initially listed as questionable to play against the Rams. He is returning from an ankle injury.
This marks Valdez's first elevation from the practice squad and Ferrell's second of the season.
Williams suffered a torn ACL in last week's game against the New York Giants, officially ending his rookie season. He concludes his first NFL campaign with 20 tackles (four for a loss), three quarterback hits, one sack, and a fumble recovery across nine games, per Pro Football Reference.
On Friday, the San Francisco 49ers ruled out wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, who has not played since Week 4 due to a knee injury. The second-year player has yet to reach the recovery benchmarks required for his return.
"We don't let people come back until they can hit their normal speeds before they got hurt, or it makes them susceptible to injury again, so we're just waiting until he hits those markers," head coach Kyle Shanahan said.
Six other players were listed as questionable for this weekend's matchup: quarterback Brock Purdy (toe), defensive end Keion White (groin), defensive tackles Alfred Collins (hip) and Kalia Davis (ankle), and linebackers Tatum Bethune (thigh) and Dee Winters (both knees).
Good news for Tatum Bethune
The NFL did not fine any 49ers players following last week's game against New York. That includes Bethune, who was flagged for unnecessary roughness after a hit on Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart during the third quarter of the Week 9 matchup.
However, Giants safety Dane Belton was fined $7,201 for a tripping penalty in the fourth quarter.
